Adopting a Cat

kristinaTo adopt a cat from River Valley Animal Protection League, first you must fill out an application. Click here for a printable version of the application. If you are a renter, please send or bring a copy of your rental agreement or written permission from your landlord indicating that you are allowed to have a cat in your home. RVAPL Adoption Fees

Kittens up to 6 Months – $100
2nd Kitten Same Day – $75

Cats Over 6 Months to 7 Years – $80
2nd Cat Same Day and Age Category – $60

Cats Over 7 Years – $50

Geriatric cats over 15 years fee on an individual basis.

Fees Include: Spay/neuter, Distemper Vaccination, Rabies Vaccination, Vet Check, De-worming, Flea Treatment, FIV/FeLV Testing.

If there is a specific cat that you know you want to adopt you may pay a small, refundable deposit to put the animal on hold.

Remember that adoption is a privilege, not a right and that by adopting you are bringing another member into your family. It is a big responsibility and a very rewarding experience. RVAPL reserves the right to deny any application for any reason.
