Do you a) love carnival games, silly challenges, and solving puzzles, b) enjoy the invigorating competition of foot races c) like awesome trophies and cool prizes, or d) all of the above? If you answered yes then you should grab a friend or two and sign up for River Valley Animal Protection League’s second Amazingly Fun Race!
The race will take place on Saturday, September 15th. Registration begins at 12pm at the Silsby Library courtyard and the race starts at 1pm.
The event will consist of 10 challenges of skill, guts, and intellect at locations around Charlestown village. The first 3 teams to complete all 10 will win prize collections full of sweet loot! The first place team will receive the RVAPL Amazingly Fun Race 2 trophy and stylish RVAPL tee shirts, too! There will be yet another a prize for the team who raises the most funds through gathering sponsors for their team (see sponsorship portion of application for details).
If that’s not enough, there will also be some great raffle items and collections. We will be selling food and drinks, and our own merchandise.
It was amazingly fun the first time we did it. It’s going to be amazingly fun again.
If you’d like to participate, you must pre-register. Teams must have 2-3 members and
all applications are due 9/7/18,( We Are Still Accepting Applications!) with your non-refundable $50 registration fee. You must be at least 14 years old to participate and at least one team member must be 18 years or older. All applicants under 18 must have permission by a parent or guardian. Applications will be accepted in the order they are received. Our maximum capacity for this event is a total of 10 teams, so get your applications in as early as possible to reserve your spot.
Remember that this is a fund raiser for the shelter. Your team will be racing to help rescue, shelter, and provide medical care for needy cats. Your efforts ensure that they have a safe place to stay until we find forever homes for each of them. Tell your friends, family, colleagues, etc. about the event. Ask them about participating, sponsoring your team, volunteering for the event, and/or coming down to catch the fun on race day.
